Northeastern Mutual Aid
Northeastern Mutual Aid is a student network dedicated to the well-being of all Northeastern students during the COVID-19 pandemic. With help from our community, we aim to fill the gaps in support that students need during this difficult time.
NU Mutual Aid primarily utilizes Slack to communicate and coordinate. Different channels allow students’ needs to be organized and addressed. By connecting, you can access these channels to convey your needs and fulfill the needs of others. Joining the Slack is also a great way to get involved if you want to help in existing projects or if you have new ideas of your own on how to address community needs!
Volunteer and Donate
We are always looking for volunteers for projects like the mobile food pantries. All are welcome to participate as much or as little as they would like. *Please only volunteer if you are complying with Northeastern’s regular testing policies.* To volunteer, please visit our volunteering page and use the sign up forms provided.
We will be using collected funds to provide resources to the Northeastern community including food pantry items, masks, and school supplies. To donate, please visit our Husky Starter page with the button above. Thank you.
Using examples set forth by universities in March 2020, we are determining the most effective ways mutual aid can serve Northeastern’s population. We aim to work with all members of the community and organize to meet each other’s needs during this time.
